Problem transitions Swing 1 and Shutter 1

Maciej-Ziegler wrote on 9/21/2021, 6:13 AM

Hi
I have a problem in the 2022 version with transitions not working as they did in the 2021 version. While they worked reasonably well in the 2021 version, they do not work in this version.
My computer is a Dell TR3500 with Intel Xeon CPU W3690 3.47 GHz 12GB RAM and Windows 10 Pro 20H2 64 bit
Why are the transitions not working for me? Will they not work in the 2022 version? Are there any fixes available?
Greetings
Maciej Ziegler

Hi Maciej. Welcome to the user to user forum.

I remember those wipes. I can no longer find them in the new version of MEP 2022.

If you are opening an old project with them in and they no longer exist I doubt MEP can reproduce them.

Do you still retain the wipes?

If not, try in the 'Movements basic' and look for 'Radial bottom left' or 'Radial bottom right' which I think is similar to swing. Not sure about shutter.

Ray.

Hi Ray,

They should be under 3D Basic and they should still be in MEP2022 as the Videocontent did not get changed, as far as I know. Were transitions listed in the Additional Content as being able to be downloaded when you upgraded? I believe that you could not check the box, meaning that nothing was changed.

The files should be here:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Videocontent\Movie Edit Pro Plus\Plugins\3DStandard

Premium for you instead of Plus.

I checked in VPX13, and they work. I have seen reports by others, particularly on the French side, of having problems with some transitions.

Hi
I don't have problems finding effects just that o ne in me doesn't work. After upgrading to version 2022 they stopped working. On the track the effect takes less space. While before I used to make stickies 2 seconds for each material - between one material and another - now they take max 1 sesecond. As if the effect "stutters" and simply does not work. I checked several 3D transitions and the ones I checked don't work.
Greetings

@Maciej-Ziegler

The two transitions that you mentioned should be 2 seconds by default.

You say that they don't work, then you say that they take 1 second instead of 2. That means they work, just not correctly. If you apply a crossfade (default 1 s) and then change it to a transition, like Swing 1, Swing 1 will take on the 1 second transition that was already applied. If there is no transition and you apply Swing 1, it should be 2 seconds.

If not, change the transition length yourself. What happens if you change the duration to 2 seconds. Does Swing 1 work better?

Hi
It doesn't work, unfortunately. Even there is something like this - clicking on the preview how the effect works - on the preview it doesn't work either. It worked before.

PS How to contact the service?

@Maciej-Ziegler

Hi.

To contact Magix via a report 'Ticket'. Go to the top of any page and select the SUPPORT button.

Then select Ask Support.

Then select Video. and then select Getting smooth playback in your projects.

Scroll to bottom of page and select Ask Support. Again!!!.

That will bring up a dialog box. Type complete rubbish into the box. Example. amndbdfitmgp.

Scroll to bottom of next page to SEND A SUPPORT REQUEST.

Retype your heading of the problem in the top box.

Explain the problem in the middle box.

Add any images that may be useful in the bottom box.

It's not that Magix does not want to hear from you. 😉😂😂😂

You should hear something within four working days. For me it has been typically two days in the past.

Ray.

Hi

Because these transitions are likely to be accelerated by a GPU during preview - you may need to change the choice of processing in the Display Settings section of the Program Settings, especially as your Xeon does not have an integrated Intel GPU. MEP2022 is using the available GPU's slightly differently to MEP2021.

What is the model of graphics card you have installed and are all the drivers up to date?

Do the transitions render correctly during export?
