Problem with acivation of music maker 2013 premium

gingertom wrote on 10/5/2012, 10:42 AM

I have now ‘activated’ it 6 or more times in a row (both check marks are green) and it says 'accepted'--but it immediately turns it self off because the only thing to click is the activation form and that says ‘quit program’--it just quites completely after it says 'accepted'. So I can’t get the program to stay on. When I turn it on again it brings up the popup to activate. (This is an upgrade.)

Using Windows 7

Solution please?

Hi,

Sorry to hear you are having poblems.  Have you tried contacting Magix sales?  This sounds to me like a activation problem, and Magix sales are typically responsible for resolving activation issues.

Remember this is a user forum so none of us work for Magix.  Music Maker 2013 is a very new product but there may be someone here who has experienced the same thing, but I would just call Magix sales and see if they can help.

Good Luck

I was contacted by mail to purchase the upgrade so I contacted those people--which I believe is Magix: They sent a form letter to come to here.

I'll look around, maybe call long distance. Thanks.

I called, they said to uninstall and reinstall--so I'll try that. It will take awhile then I'll report back here.

Ok. This is how you do it: Uninstall, right click the already downloaded .exe and click on 'Adminstrator'. That did it. It works great now.

Bye

Hi,

Not very nice if you were directed here to help solve an activation problem as we have no ability to help you activate your product unless we can tell you that you have done something wrong.

If I had the ability to activate the product for you, I would ask for your order number and do it.  Unfortunately I do not have that ability.

This is very odd as my personal experience with Magix sales is that when there is a probem with activation they handle it very quickly and very well.  Uninstall and re-install is typically a good first step to make sure there were no issues with your download, but I would only do this once if I were you, unless you are running dial up or sattelite in which case that actually could be a problem on your side.

If you are on a reliable high speed connection, this really should work!!! JMO (just my opinion).
