Problems

Hi
I don´t know what i´m doing wrong but  the more I use "MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 2016" the more problems a get.
Invisible audio on some track audio, audio off sync in some parts, sometimes a few seconds of video in another part of the move that I can´t get rid off, 1 frame in some parts of the video can pop up and now recently "MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 2016" makes the disk work att about 99% every time I start the program and once in a while during usage something it did not do in the beginning.
I don´t know if there is any point trying to make another video because most off the work involves fixing what the program messes up.

The more I use the program the more problems I get it´s like a nightmare. I tried un and reinstall. Is it my computer or what  am I suppose to do?

First, please read http://www.magix.info/uk/please-do-the-following-before-posting-your-question.forum.621831.html and give us the information listed there.  This will help greatly in possibly diagnosing what the problem is on your computer.

Off the top of my head, based on what you have written as the problem and the fact that you have uninstalled and reinstalled (but did you ensure everything connected with MEP was removed before the reinstall?), I wonder whether your HD is beginning to fail?  As I say, that is just a wild guess!

It might be the beginning of the end for my HDD so thanks for the wild guess, I backed up my computer so i´m prepared, last time my HDD crashed I almost lost everything so thanks for the reminder :).

When it comes to the program I uninstalled everything this time "speed burn" or something like that was related to magix.
But after reinstalling I´m having problems activating, so I can´t even use it at all now, "connection could not be established", and I tried with the firewall off but it still doesn't work.
I have contacted "customerservice@magix.net" and if they can´t help me then sadly I think I´m done with this program. :(

Hi

. . . . But after reinstalling I´m having problems activating, so I can´t even use it at all now, "connection could not be established" . . . .

Just uninstalling and re-installing will not fix some issues - there are files left behind after the uninstall that must be deleted - the uninstaller cannot remove these because they are created by the program on first run.

Are you on Windows 10?

If so re-install using this procedure.

If using Windows 7 or 8 the follow steps 1, 2 and 12  to  in the above procedure

Hi

The error message is very explicit in what the problem is.

Try running Internet Explorer - available under All Apps, Windows Accessories - and see if you can connect to the Internet.

if you can then the problem is likely to be with your Anti-virus/Firewall software blocking the connection - you may need to specifically add MEP inot the access permissions list - how you do this will depend on your Anti-virus/Firewall application - consult the applications website for support / manuals or FAQ.

Internet works with internet explorer
I use Avast internet security and MEP worked before and I have tried turning off Avast.
In Avast it says that it´s trusted. I would show you screenshots but it´s in Swedish so...

I have even gone so far to uninstall Avast completely and MEP still can´t connect so the problem can´t be Avast.

Hi

. . . . Internet works with internet explorer . . . I use Avast internet security . . .

I too use Avast and have no issues with it and MEP being allowed through.

Something is blocking MEP using the Internet connection - possible causes are

  • TCP/IP stack needs resetting

  • Router is blocking access for some network protocols

  • WiFi is blocking network protocols (if connected by WiFi)

  • ISP is blocking  - although this would be very unusual if they are.

I have broadband that we all use in the apartment building where I live so the only thing I can change is in my computer. MEP worked, kind of, before I reinstalled but it sounds like it nothing I can do which is to bad I liked MEP in the beginning but it is what it is whatever that is.

So that´s it...? Payed money for a program I can´t use and it´s to late to get my money back, no wonder people download illegally.

miksva44 wrote on 9/13/2016, 8:45 PM

So...ok... After I discovered that I couldn't use Itunes because of some network connection problem I googled for windows 10 network problems and found the solution.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/10741/windows-10-fix-network-connection-issues

After I followed some of the steps and restarted the led light in my mouse started to work again, Itunes worked and MEP worked again.

Why couldn't you just tell me how to reset? I thought it was something to do with my broadband router which I have no access to. So if anyone else have the same problem I had after installing Windows 10 then check the link.
