. . . .  recently upgraded to Maxix pro X12 and after that DVD burning does not work . . . .

Magix is the company name not the product which is Video Pro X 12.

Which version did you upgrade from?

What steps did you take to burn the disc?

Do you get any error messages when trying to burn a disc - if so what are they?

We also need the section of the log file that has the burn details in it, to find this see this tutorial.
