Problems with burning to DVD since I upgraded to MEP 2015 plus

Since I upgraded to MEP 2015 plus from MEP11 plus I have had problems when burning to dvd. I use a laptop running on windows 7.  I create a dvd with a menu which links to 4 videos.

1. When selecting one particular video which shows a single slide ( of dates for the diary made from a jpg file) shows an UNSTABLE image where words on a green background seem to shake up and down. This happens whether using outputs of tv, laptop, or projector. I have not had this problem with MEP 11 plus.

2. On placing the burnt dvd into a laptop or various dvd players the menu screen comes up. After a video is selected it runs but at the end of the video it does not  return to the dvd menu. It freezes on a black screen. If I then press the button to jump to the next chapter marker it will not go back to the menu but jump to the next video. I have never had this problem whilst using MEP 11 plus.

I have downloaded the patches available for MEP 2015 plus  (windows 7 ) but the problems still occur.

Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks!

Hi

. . . . shows an UNSTABLE image where words on a green background seem to shake up and down . . . .

This sounds like image shimmer which can be caused by several things:

  1. the resolution of the image i should be the same as the project settings or a multiple of 2 x width and height

  2. the text and background colour - never put red text on a green background or vice versa

  3. the actual font used in the image

What Brand and type of DVD disc are you using?

. . . .If I then press the button to jump to the next chapter marker it will not go back to the menu but jump to the next video . . .

That is the correct action if you have all four videos on one timeline and set Chapter markers.

See this tutorial for what I think you are trying to do.
