Program asks for registration at start up. Module crashes also.

Movie Edit Pro Premium 2019. The first problem is at start up, I’m prompted to register my program… Every time. My serial number and personal information are already inputted, the only option is to hit send. Confirmation of registration is then acknowledged. MEP then asks to download extra content. I select “later”, because the extra content, like registration, has already been done. Program will start. Old files can be loaded and played. New files can be started and clips imported, but any attempt to open either the Effects, Template or Audio tabs results in “Module Errors”. Program asks to send a crash log and then closes, whether sending the log or not. Restarting the program follows the same sequence of events. (This time I select “download extra content” when prompted.) Module errors occur again when attempting to open any tab other than “Import”. This program has been removed and re-installed recently to fix a corrupt file and worked fine for a few times after that. The .ini file has been deleted numerous times over the years to solve a reoccurring problem with layout. Update ads at startup are annoying and selecting “don’t show this message again” only doubles its’ efforts to sell me more. When this program works properly, it’s good.

@Steven-Duff

Hi

Try temporarily turning of your Antivirus's Real time protection/Folder protection features and see if the program will register and remain registered - some AVs are known to cause an issue with installation/registration

If that fails start the program as an Administrator - right click the program icon and select Run as Administrator click Yes in the dialog that opens to confirm you want to do this, then see if the program will register and remain registered - you should only need to do this once.

I will try these suggestions and report back. Thanks.

I can report that starting MEP as Administrator didn’t result in any “module errors”. It did ask to register at startup though. I have not tried to open with antivirus real-time protection off yet. Thanks for the help.
