The program recognizes areas where there is no video content, but in fact there are no such areas. The program produces a video that is shorter than it should be or a full video, but most of it does not have an image, only a black background.
. . . . The program produces a video that is shorter than it should be or a full video, but most of it does not have an image, only a black background. . . . .
The most likely cause is a stray fragment of image/video/title - this can be as little as 1 frame - beyond the end of the movie - you have to zoom in to see them. the time specified in the message is the start of the gap, a quick way to find a stray fragment is to press the End key.
Note the same message will appear if there are 'gaps' on track 1 which are filled by images/video/titles on lower tracks. I do not think this is the issue.
. . . . Sorry for the silly question but what is " 'gaps' on track 1 which are filled by images/video/titles on lower tracks"? . . . .
Definitely not a silly question - in some instances you may end up with gaps between objects on track 1 as you can see in the example below
As you can see there is a manually created collage after the 'intro', - I did not use one of the Collage templates as I wanted to get a particular effect.
The gap is 'covered' by the image on track 2, so that the background image immediately (track 1) after the gap can be faded in while the image on track 2 is full screen. The result is as shown below - the gap is not seen at 10 secs.
The gap was created when I made an adjustment to the image on track 2 fade in speed after creating the collage, I could have corrected this.
