Hello everybody.

After I changed a few options in my video (straighten horizon, rotate, colour etc.), it does not play smoothly anymore. How can I correct this? Thank you!

Hi

We need more information - including your computer specification:

  1. processor make/model
  2. quantity of RAM
  3. hard drive size and free space
  4. graphics card used if you have one
  5. project resolution settings
  6. imported video format and resolution.

Hi John. Thank you. Here are the specs:

processor make/model: Lenovo 20354

quantity of RAM: 16GB

hard drive size and free space: 1 TB, 235 GB free

graphics card used if you have one: NVIDEA Geforce

project resolution settings: 1920x1080, 29.97 frame rate

imported video format and resolution: .MOV 1920x1080

I am watching the video inside the project. It started to play choppy after I "straightened the horizon". The other parts of the project, that I did not correct, are still playing smoothly.

Hope that helps. Thank you, John

Hi

. . . . . processor make/model: Lenovo 20354 . . . .

I presume you mean the Lenovo Z50-70 (20354) - 15.6" Display, Intel i7-4510U, 2.0GHz, 16GB etc

The laptop is underpowered to play back HD video on the timeline smoothly with the combination of effects you have applied.

See this answer for settings to check to try and improve the playback.

Also be aware that some collages, transitions and effects are very processor intensive and, even with a more powerful computer, playback can be choppy.
