Purchased Stock Intro: How do I replace the "Movie" placeholder

Hi Marcus and welcome to the user to user forum.

Could you tell us which Stock intro you purchased and take a screen grab of the timeline with it in place please?

A lot of us here who use VPX tend to make our own intros so probably haven't purchased one and need to see the track layout please.

At least with the title name we can check it out for ourselves to see what is happening and at what point and then try to work out if anything can be altered from looking at the screen grab.

You should be looking at the track view for this and not just images of individual clips across the timeline.

So not this view.

But this view please.

The Video is called Flash Light Effect - 1 and is filed in the Intro section.

I don´t have the multitrack view as you asked me to screen cap. That´s why I don´t know how to access the single elements in the video as I only got an mp4 file.

Hi

Intro's, and Outro's are attached to the object that was selected when they are added to the movie and and the component parts are grouped to that object as shown below. If you want to edit a part of the Intro, eg replaced the title text Intro, then is must be ungrouped using the indicated button.

Hi Marcus.

If John's reply is not making much sense to you can you give us a screen capture of Video Pro X as you see it once a project is opened? Screen capture is use the 'Print Screen' button on your keyboard if your keyboard has one (not all of them do) and then paste the result into Paint and save as jpg. Post here using the upload button next to the blue smiley face.

Sorry if I'm teaching my grandmother to suck eggs at this point.

Also I can't find that intro either in the VPX store front or on the Producer Planet website.

I do assume though it has appeared here under Intro Outro Animations.

I guess that "Movie" Text object is baked into the video? I followed John´s suggestion and unlinked. But I only get two tracks. The video track and the audio track:

So, I think I´m supposed to cut the whole part where the logo is visible out of the video? Which would be a bit of a downer tbh.

No, my example below can be edited and is more than one MP4 file. It should cover several track layers.

Did you purchase this through the store within VPX? If so I can't find it.

Producer Planet do sell a lot of MP4 clips that are sold 'As is' on their own website meaning the words are baked into the clip and are not editable. But I can't find a clip with that title there either.

There is normally an intro and outro. I'm not sure what you bought but looks like its a transition. Also such intros and outros are normally text based and don't allow for graphics to be loaded and used instead.

Form the image you posted it looks like you are loading the demo movie that is part of the Intro package - did you download and install the Intro components - you may have to unzip the download file to extract them before putting them into the following folder:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Videocontent\Video Pro X\IntroOutro

The intro consists of several component files .cfx, .mp4, .ogg and possibly a .HDP as shown in the image below for a different intro:

Once these are installed in the correct location the Intro should appear in VPX after a restart under Templates, Intro Animations.

I've found it thanks to your screenshot.

Not available on the English version of the site. It appears you have only bought a video clip of a set animation.

There is nothing that can be altered.

The Intro and Outro are available on the english site, the Intro is here and the Outro here

What you have bought is an Intro video loop, not an Intro effect that is editable , ie the same as those you find under Intro's & Outro's.

If you look at the example I posted above, you can create your own from a video loop and titles with animation if required, there are many websites offering free and paid for video loops.
