Put MP4 and MOV on same project; one fine the other crazy jumping picture

Using MEP2015, burning DVD of finished project from hp windows PC. Making video project from various video sources that have types MP4, MOV, wmv. The MP4 picture fluctuates and jumps up and down all crazy with what looks like lighning bolts shooting what should be a crystal clear playback picture. The other formats play fine. I looked at the VTS._....VOB File on the computer that was created by the burn and it jumps too so the issue is Not with the DVD type or TV or anything else, it is in the encoded movie file prior to being burned to dvd. But the playback on the simulated TV menu display test that MEP provides prior to the burn plays everything perfectly! Prior to viewing these clips when creating the original project I had to activate different types of video files in order to view them, MP4 and MOV (is this what is referred to as codec, this is all new to me) and now the project appears to have a conflict with these types. Is there a simple solution to corect playback of finished project?

Hi,

To isolate the issue methodically I would start by creating a very small new project consisting of one short file of each of the types in your troublesome project. When you import the various files into MEP, do you get a message asking whether you want to adjust your movie settings? If so, and you've been answering Adjust, for this new test project answer Do not adjust instead.

Does this new project now behave correctly? IOW, can you export it successfully? If you 'burn' it, but stop short of physically burning a disc, does the VOB folder play correctly?

Thank you Terry. That is actually what I suspected might be the issue and here is the foolish thing I did before I knew I had a problem, for some reason I accidently clicked 'do not show me this again' on that box. I am now afraid if I restore default settings to get it back I would lose the codec that I activated which may have been a one time activation for the software. Is there another way to get this mesaage back?

I also neglected to mention above I was chosing the simplest DVD burn option, not HD or BluRay.

I am still having a problem. When I add to timetime using 'adjust' or 'do not adjust' I get either a black blank visual or else the crazy jumping picture in the final project. Does the issue have to do with the way these  different types were activated with the codec? The thumbnails of the objects i can select for the timeline show a visible photo for the ones that transfer to finished DVD just fine however the ones with the problem do not show a photo, just a black and gold filmstrip image in the thumbnail prior to selection for the included movie but will "look" okay when shown on the timeline until I attempt to create the finished project and then the visual is corupted.

Make a small, non-confidential project exhibiting the problem and use File > Backup > Copy project and media into a folder, zip it up and upload it to a host site (I use Dropbox for instance) so that we can see what you mean.

"I wasn't exactly clear as to how to zip and upload..."

What exactly are you having trouble with?
