Question about Soundpools & Loops.

Steven-Wood wrote on 1/6/2020, 12:32 PM

So I recently purchased MMM 2020 ( premium version ) and a bunch of soundpools and instruments / synths and I'm thinking of upgrading to a newer/faster computer and then switching to a more traditional DAW style music production system.

I had been considering purchasing the full version of Samplitude ( x 4 pro suite ), but this would probably be overkill ( i'm just a bedroom noodler NOT a fully fledged musician ).

The Samplitude Music Studio seems like a decent option and I was particularly pleased to see that I can still use the synths I purchased on MMM 2020 with Samplitude MS. However, I can't find any info on whether I can use my soundpools also.

Is this possible.

Cheers.

have tried to contact Magix Support to get this info but just keep getting directed to some download links for other Magix software.

Eventually managed to get this answered by Magix Support.

MMM soundpools CAN be used in Samplitude Music Studio

I used to have all my soundpool instruments on a white background when I went to select what midi instrument to use in the recording area. reinstalled Samplitude now I can't even use any of them with my arturia midi keylab essential 49 keyboard. Only Revolta and another one. In my soundpool all the instruments that I used to have access to are there but not available just "Pop drums" etc. getting frustrated.

@Russ-Hansen Vita instruments are not Soundpools. You can reinstall all Vita Instruments via the help menu in Samplitude. You just need to redownload them and reinstall them.

I reloaded the instruments already, 3 times.. I think there is an old Magix file that keeps hi jacking my new Samplitude Music Studio 2020 but I really don't know. Every time I open the Vst selection area for a track (thats to the left of my pink midi record light I get a small rectangular grey box that gives me the options of Dn-1 , Revolta 2 or plugin browser. When I open the Browser it has Revolta and Dn-1 and that's about it. I do faintly remember using the Steinberg folder before and when I did all the vst instruments were on a nice white background with the pictures of each separate VST instruments so I could click on one and it would load. Also the analog 4 program would be in in print in the upper right corner of this white background along with any single Vst instruments I loaded. When I looked up VST in the Regedit there were two entries. First - Default REG_SZ (value not set} Second -- VSTPluginPath Reg_SZ (C:Program files\Cakewalk\VstPlugins. Also in the Regedit I clicked on Magix and under the AddonReg it listed Default Reg_SZ (value not set) IF I go on my C: drive under users-Public-Public Documents-Magix-Common-MxSynth-my list of Magix Instruments are there. If I go to Programs 86-Magix-Samplitude Music Studio - 2020 -Magix Plugins - My instruments are not there. Just the folders that are my effects like essential effects - Vandal. Still in 2020. If I do a seach in Samplitude for MxSynth nothing comes up and I cannot find any instruments there.

If I open c drive and open plugin instruments I will find my MxSynth all all my instruments there. I'm baffeled as to what is going on. In my program Samplitude Music Studio I can see all the instruments listed in my midi or vst area. I wish I had it all back the way it used to be before all this reloading stuff. Need help thanks
