Re-render all the film again from beginning to end

PF-Davidson wrote on 9/18/2018, 2:41 PM

Am I missing something? In MAGIX\Movie Edit Pro\2019. I edit a 2 hour film on the Z840 graphic workstation the rendering takes literally hours! regardless of the processes and regardless of all the memory, it takes such a long time to re-render a two-hour film.

Why do I need to re-render all the film just to cut the ending off. Why can I not just cut the ending off.

Do you understand? I have edited the film I have rendered it and I do not like a bit on the end so I cut that off... why does it re-render  all the film again from beginning to end. The program knows what has been rendered it is not cutting from the middle it is just slicing the ending off.

I guess it is like baking a baguette. You don't like how the end of the baguette is looking, and you cannot just cut off and "paste" a better looking part. You need to rebake the entire baguette.

Ok... stupid analogy.

Casual home video editing just for FUN since MEP 5.5.4.1 (2006??)

It does exist in other video rendering software but when you mix the two with MAGIX Movie Edit Pro, the quality of the picture drops and is noticeable.

I remove UOPs from all my DVDs I then send my copy to my ProLiant-MicroServer-Gen8 home network, that all workstations are linked to. I then edit these videos and remove the commercials I re-render the film and send them to the ProLiant-MicroServer-Gen8.

The  ProLiant-MicroServer-Gen8 runs 24 hours a day fantastic reliable Linux square cube that feeds the workstations. When I go to work I click the complete collection of planet Earth Narrated by David Attenborough, and a giant television plays the complete series without interruption to my guard dogs when I am at work. They like it and it stops them from barking. When I get back I click a selection and I select a feature film and it plays without interruption.

I use Any Video Converter Ultimate to remove UOP I then use MAGIX Movie Edit Pro to remove the commercials and trailers. None of them are pirated I own the original they are my copies.

Planet Earth complete collection can play easily for two days. The DVD versions use UOP to force you to watch Doctor Who trailers.. And the intro to every planet Earth series when linked together is torturous.. to watch! I do not watch trailers ever..

To keep my dogs quiet I edit and stitched together the complete collection of planet Earth with MAGIX Movie Edit Pro.

When you are doing hours and hours of videos and rendering them you can sometimes accidentally miss the trailer! and rather than re-render it from beginning to end, it would be nice to just snip that trailer off.
I have hundreds of videos and documentaries dating all the way back to the 70s.
UOP = user operation prohibition (abbreviated UOP ). It is an abuse of a copyright warning message. Unskippable commercials. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_operation_prohibition

I absolutely love my low powered ProLiant-MicroServer-Gen8 square cube customised. I would be devastated if it died.

I have nothing more to add to this MAGIX, just sort out that rendering that exists in another brand that makes painting software.

It sounds as though you are under the impression that you think you are talking to MAGIX here, but this is a totally separate forum that is run voluntarily and populated by users like yourself. Perhaps you should address your comment directly to MAGIX.

I click the help in the actual program which opens a little search box saying "ask question." You type in your question in the little box the firewall springs up asking to make an Internet connection and hey presto I am typing away on a forum.

@PF-Davidson

I'm not at all sure why you have posted the details of magix.info and its server address!

As @RogerGunkel entirely correctly stated, this forum is provided by Magix but is for users to ask questions, make suggestions, give advice to other users. It is not an avenue to communicate with Magix support.

This page is the route to ask Magix Technical Support a direct question.
