A year ago I had a computer crash with a failed backup as well. My wonderful techie got it up and running for me. However when I went to used my backup to access Magix I needed to know my registration # which of course I lost in the crash. How do I go about getting into my software now. I have it on my computer but can't enter it. thanks
Hi Caroline and welcome to the Magix User forums.
I only have two suggestions.
If you saved your emails from Magix then you should be able to retrieve them from your internet service provider assuming you haven't changed it.
Look up your bank account details and get proof to send to Magix of purchase.
After that.
It's a good idea to always print off any info from internet bought software.
Another way is to not store your emails on your C: drive and you can retrieve them that way.
Always have more than one backup disc.
I know most of my suggestions are retrospective but people never think of these things until they get such a crash.

To get your serial number, browse to the Magix Service Centre here and login with your email address and password used to register and activate the original installation.
Once logged in select My Products this will take you to the list of your registered products, serial number and a download link to re-install again.
