recently installed win 8.0 and win 8.1. i cannot record because i get message at burn cd "no cdr found"

"no cdr found" recently installed windows 8.0 and 8.1........can you help ?? this happens when i want to record... i dont remember if audio worked with windows 7....the program i am referring is MAGIX AUDIO CLEANING LAB MX
