All they keep asking me is to get my computer ID which i don't even know how tp go about it... I am really disappointed with the whole system of registering and activating every month while having internet connectivity... What do i do to salvage this predicament?

Hi

. . . . Magix Movie Edit Pro 2015 Premium 4 about 2yrs with no problem. but now i am encountering a problem of activation throughout the yesterday till now . . . . to get my computer ID . . . .

Has anything changed on the computer, eg new version of Windows ie upgraded to Windows 10, new antivirus/firewall, new components etc in the last few days?

Any of these changes could have changed the computer ID which is created when you register the software on-line, in turn this means the on-line registration may fail.

If nothing has changed

You can check and de-activate the registration using the following procedure:

  1. browse to magix.com
  2. click the My Account icon top right of the home page and login.

  3. select My Products

  4. In the page that opens you should see your registered product(s), click on Show more details and you should see the De-activate option.

  5. Try registering the program again

If the above fails then you may need to re-install the program - if so follow this procedure - if you are not using Windows 10 then skip steps 3 to 10.

I did re-run my computer with windows 7 64bit. But then what do I do to salvage this biting problem? I have so much to edit with this product (Magix Movie Edit Pro 2015 Premium as i am not all time having access to the internet. I am confused, discourage and disappointed.

This would suggest you are not connected to the Internet - check that you are connected to the Internet and that your Firewall is not blocking the program.

From memory - there should be a small link at the bottom of the registration dialog that says something like 'Activate offline'.

If so then click this and locate the 'Activate on another computer' option follow through the dialog - this will generate the computer ID and give you instructions on what to do.

Re in johnebaker's post: "From memory - there should be a small link at the bottom of the registration dialog that says something like 'Activate offline'."

No such link is apparent on my PC when I am about to activate MEP 2015 Plus. There's a "Why register?" link, but otherwise only the button "Activate & register immediately online" (which always fails anyway as no online connection can be established).

Hi

One would assume that the issue the OP had has been resolved, as no further feedback on whether the issue has been resolved or not has occurred in the 6 months since posting,.
