Reinstallation MovieEditPro 2018 to better PC

Dear friends, I upgraded from Magix Movie Pro 15 to Movieeditpro2018 premium in 2019. Unfortunately, the PC I was using at the time couldn't handle premium 2018, so I stayed with Movieedit pro 15 for the time being. Now I've bought a more powerful PC, so I'd like to go back to MovieEditPro 18 - premium. However, the reinstallation on the new PC is not successful, although I insert the PW, I hope correctly. But there is a small difference. The first two characters in PW should be P3, but I can't insert "P". Hi and welcome to the user to user forums.

As such there are no Magix staff on the forums. It is run by users for users.

It may depend on how you bought the programs and whether you registered them with Magix and created a user account. If you created a user account and registered the programs then everything you need to reinstate your program will be in your user account. Even if you no longer use the original email account you used to create it you can use the email address to gain access as long as you have kept your password as well.

If you no longer have details of your account but did create a Magix account then try emailing Magix at infoservice@magix.net with as much detail about your account as you can remember (for instance if you forgot your password). and see if they can help. Either way, that information box is asking you to contact Magix directly.

We cannot help you on the forum beyond advising you to contact Magix.

@jiri-focht Unless i'm wrong, the P is already added at the start of that box, you just need to put the numbers in,

The serial number input box actually tells you the 'generation' of serial number you must enter, eg P2- or P3- depending on the age of the program being registered/activated.

The current generation is P3- and you must enter the whole code including the prefix, otherwise the registration will be rejected as with no prefix there is no ability for the product and serial number generations to be reconciled.

Thank you for all. The problem vith letter "P" is not the not importand a now i see how it must be. Importand is of course the notification on the end of instalation. I managed, after a long effort, to find a place where I can contact support directly. I hope I will find out what I actually have to do to get the program working. All the details on my account are fine, at least I hope so.
