Robert-Jeffree wrote on 8/4/2019, 12:13 AM

I installed a new SSD after a system crash, then reinstalled Win 10

Reinstalled Magix Movie Edit Pro, but have been unable to activate the following

Movie Score Song Collection 4

Movie Edit Pro Content Pack Premium 2019

HitFilm Ignite Color Cine

Magix Store states that the coupon codes have already been used with no option to deactivate

Also none of the New Blue Filers work ,New Blue Stylizers 5 Imagine (is activated), New Blue Elements and New Blue Essentials

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Pity that no one here can help with this issue, as an advisor on another forum, I appreciate that some questions, forum members just can't help with, I did submit a support ticket detailing all my order Nos, but other than the initial Request Support email, no further response, now am receiving emails to upgrade, if I can't get version 18.0.3.261 working properly, why would I want to upgrade.

@Robert-Jeffree

Welcome to the Magix forums, and apologies for the lack of previous replies.

My response here will have to be rather abbreviated since I need to go out in a very few minutes, but,

  1. Movie Score and Content Pack Premium should be available to you via the Store tab in MEP, since they are, presumably, already registered to you. No coupon code should be needed.
  2. All NB add-ons are downloaded and activated via the NewBlue Activation Manager. Is this accessible to you on your computer?
  3. IIRC, HitFilm products have a similar system to that in NB. Assuming the product is correctly installed it should appear in your Programs list.

HTH

Jeff

Edit: In fact, thinking further about this, I think ALL the above content should be available to you to download, install and activate via the Store tab in MEP.

I think the problem is two fold, installing a new SSD and re-installation of Windows 10, so the computer now has a different ID, so the Magix Store does not recognize as the same machine and of course only support can correct that

@Robert-Jeffree

Have you ensured you are logged into the Store before checking the Store tab? My understanding is that these various add-ons are connected with your Magix account, which is accessed via your email address.

A bit lost here Jeff, As far as I am aware I am logged into my account, unless there is a way to log in within MEP, when the store is opened it only shows item for purchase, so I must be doing something wrong.

I do have the New Blue Filters working now

@emmrecs

Hi Jeff,

The Store in MEP does not work the same way as it does in Music Maker. If something is actually purchased through the Store, then the user should be to download it again, but it is not obvious. In 18.0.3.261, the additional content is still to be downloaded under Help, Install Extra Content. As Robert points out, there is no way to log in to the Store like in Music Maker. Producer Planet would likely be the way to go.

I purchased some Design Elements through the Store. They got installed and can be found under C:\Documents\MAGIX\Movie Edit Pro Premium\ShopManager_Videodeluxe25_premium. They don't even show up in the Store anymore or in Producer Planet.

@Robert-Jeffree

Did you download and install everything under Help, Install Extra Content. The first screen that shows up has a button on it to open Download Extra Content, so it's a two-step process.

Here is the screen:

Where did you see Movie Edit Pro Content Pack Premium 2019?

The other stuff, would likely have to be downloaded using the links in the email. If any of the plugins came with previous paid purchased/upgraded versions, you would likely find the download link in the relevant emails.

When you download, did you keep the installation files somewhere? I keep all of mine so that when I install on a second computer I don't have to download again, just copy the files to the other machine and execute them.

You indicated that "Magix Store states that the coupon codes have already been used with no option to deactivate." What did you purchase with the coupons?

Do you have anything under the folder:

C:\Documents\MAGIX\Movie Edit Pro Premium\ShopManager_Videodeluxe25_premium

(or 24...) which is where anything purchased through the Store should show up. Normally, the ShopManager should be populated automatically if the program is reinstalled.

For Movie Score Song Collection 4, again, unless you purchased through the Store, then the download link should be available in the email. You can also check your account with Producer Planet to see if it shows up there. This gets installed under: C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Soundpools.

I assume that you have a backup of your failed disk, so you can look there and simply copy the entire folder to the above location. In MEP, you have to navigate to the Song Collection folder as indicated above to get the songs.

The next version of MEP will probably use C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Videocontent instead of ProgramData.

Thank you gentlemen, I think all my issues have been solved

I have found Movie Score Song Collection 4

With Movie Edit Pro Content Pack Premium 2019, that was a misunderstanding, and all is good

And if HitFilm Ignite Color Cine Pack comprises just 2 items, Ignite Cine Style and Ignite Classic Cine Style, then that's good as well.

The library seems to contain 2 New Blue orphans, New Blue Elements and New Blue Essentials, these 2 packages are watermarked and therefore unusable, New Blue advise that these can be deleted, however, these appear to be shown in the Videodelux25_premium\vfx plugins folder, after deletion, next time the program is launched, the filters have been reinstated, how is that possible, unless there is another location for the filters which overrides that folder

New Blue advise that MEP loads the OFX plugins, so the only way to remove the Elements and Essentials packages, is to uninstall the plugin pack or delete from the OFX plugin directory, but this would also remove them from Vegas Movie Studio. New Blue also advise that Cartoonr Plus which is included as part of the New Blue Stylizers package also remains watermarked, but with no explanation of why they are there to start with
