Removal of split screen

All the video clips I try and play appear with "Split Screen" which I cannot seem to remove or cancel. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the program to no avail. How do I get rid of this permanent split screen?

Welcome to the Magix forums.

From what you write it seems you have somehow turned on the "3D" setting. See the screenshot below:

Top left corner of video screen, right-click on the "hamburger" icon and, from the dropdown, check that "Standard (2d)" is ticked.
