rename video file

Hey everyone,

in my MEP editing window i have loaded several video files, that have the same names. Does anybody know how i can rename them? Because i would like to cut and move them around to splice them all together in one big arrangement, and then it is helpful to know which was which.

Thanks :-)

Kate

@kate-m

Hi

You can give each video clip a 'local name' in MEP by selecting a clip then either, right click and select Object properties or press Ctrl + E.

Rename the file in the indicated box shown below, and you will see the name in the object on the timeline indicated by the arrow

Note: this will not rename the video file and the same method can be used for images and audio files.
