When I go to use this item I am informed that I am using it as a restricted user, which is not recommended. Can you please tell me why I am classed as a restricted user? and before you ask, yes I have reistered.

First, can you confirm exactly which version and variant of Movie Edit Pro you are running, you can check under Help>About.
I have to say I have never heard of nor seen this particular message so am very confused as to where it is actually coming from. So, all the more details, and info about your computer, will prove very helpful.

Are you using a PC with more than one user account?
Are you the primary user? If not, you may not have permission to alter settings.
If you have set up different accounts to have different settings in each account then make sure each account has administrative rights.
