Samples Not Getting Imported

brewsta666 wrote on 8/31/2012, 12:43 PM

It doesn't always import samples properly. Let me run you through how I usually import samples (successfully) in Magix Music Maker MX.

I make a folder with an appropriate title, then a subfolder depending on what the samples are, e.g. drum samples = subfolder called 'Drums'.

I then put the samples into the subfolder. Once that is done, I go into Magix itself, click on add styles, select the folder (not subfolder) and click 'ok'.

Sometimes this works perfectly. Other times, the program seems to import them but they never show up in the soundpool. What is going wrong? Is there some kind of criteria regarding what you can call the folders you import the samples from? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks

By the term "SAMPLES" do you mean soundpool or Demo? Anyway I think you better take a look at this tutorial:

http://www.magix.info/us/understanding-soundpool.online-training.771235.html

If by samples you mean soundpool then I wonder why do you have to re-create folder however, it is already created?

Also this tutorial will give you some hints.

If you have updated your software and still face such problem better

clear, browser history, cookies etc and restart Music Maker and

try. If your problem remains better contact Magix support for further help.

"To clarify, I am not talking about a soundpool,..."

That should be your first clue.

"I am talking about sample packs..."

And, where did these "sample packs" come from?  CATOOH?

If not, you have no reason to expect MMM to incorporate them into the Soundpool(s).  They are not tagged with the necessary information.  You need to use the File Manager to import these - it's every bit as simple to use as the Soundpools.

Yes me too think it is getting difficult to answer unless you talk clearly. In every post you give one new information.

In my first answer I had provided links the first one had talked about why won't some files do not add in the soundpool library I do not know if you read or not?

In my experience, I have faced the same situation like yours when the third party audio files are in 24 bit. However, 16 bit  audio files works fine. Therefore, please check if got 16 bit or 24 bit audio files?

Or

When we buy third party audio files they may not be acidized.

Here is a copied text from the tutorial (the first url link)

"What does Acidized mean? Audio object contains proper tempo and key information for proper pitch information. We can see above two text files clearly showing tempo and key information of the audio files included in the soundpool. For non acidized file you have to add them manually. First use File Manger browse the required file then drag and drop it on the track."

You can read more IF you like in the PDF.

I thought just to share this information with you and there is a chance this answer might not help you.
