I am trying to save a movie project as a file that youtube accepts but magix does not allow that file format....what can I do

You cannot save to a format that anything other than Movie Edit Pro accepts because you are saving the Project to a Project file. You have to Export.
File, Export Movie, Video as MPEG4. Click on Display all and then on the dropdown. Select a resolution and format (PAL or NTSC), size. Ok. Review the exported video for errors. Upload to YT the normal way, by using YT Studio.
