Screen Capture on MEP 17 not working "does not support selected audio sample rate"

When I try to record with Screen Capture on MEP 17 I get an error message ""does not support selected audio sample rate (48000 HZ)" and it says to change to 96000 HZ in Configuration.

However if I change to 96000 in Configuration it still gives the message "the recording device does not support the current recording format"

If I change the HZ settings on the laptop mic to 96000 and try again I still get the same message. So even if I change the HZ in Configuration and in Control Panel it will not work.

In Configuration is the option "do not write audio data." Whether I click this or not, I still get the same error messages. Click HERE to see the error messages.

I answered my own question

I plugged in a USB microphone (Samson Gomic) and chose the mic in configurations....

now I can screen capture with audio no problem
