Selling us the same software under a new version

This is supposed to be a German company. Germans are very good at what they do. This supposed German company is not very good at all. The "new" sound forge 15 pro takes forever to start up just like the previous versions. Very little has changed. It'ss like they sell you an upgrade, but all you get is more headaches.

I start the program and it takes over 30 minutes to scan my plugins. Then I fix a few things...preferences etc. I close the program. Next time I start it up, it takes over 30 minutes to scan the plugins. After it starts all my preferences are gone. So I say top myself, I'll go back to version 13 because 14 sucked. Low and behold, it now takes over 30 minutes to scan my plugins.

You must have heard of Acoustica, It starts immediately. It is superior to sound forge but doesn't have the video capability YET.

I asked Magix to put a close all in the menu years ago...still no close all.

I will not upgrade ever again because we are just buying the same software with a few minor updates that should be free at least some of the time. This program has always taken way too long to startup and Shutdown. It's lagging and it's lacking and I don't believe this company is made up of Germans, it must be some affirmative action pretenders.

I mean, you can't even get in touch with these people. Did you notice that Vegas scans the plugins in no time and with no problems? It's a wonder that they don't use the same functions in Sound Forge "PRO"

What a bummer this company is.

You are preaching to the choir @Boozigs, Contact Magix about your displeasure.

btw, some of the original SCS (now Magix) employees are still in Madison, Wisconsin .. or thereabouts since COVID-19.

I have been with this software since before Sony owned it. That's just the point. I can't get in touch with Magix. That's what kind of company they are. I deal with lots of companies and this is the only one that deals this way.
