set end of video

rstorrow wrote on 7/9/2014, 5:12 PM

I am trying to finalize a video and save it. The video is only about 1.5 mins. long. Even though I set the markers at begining and end points. the video saves at 3 mins. long. ( I am using a trial version that has a 3 min. maximum length. All the other tracks are not highlighted, the two tracks I am using I have the S clicked on?

Any advice?

Thank you in advance

'Thanks in advance' is OK, but proper feedback is always more appreciated. I note that you've given none to most of the answers you've received to your many posts over the last couple of weeks. Examples include:

Unwanted audio
Now that I'm finished.... ?
Black frames. Unable to see video.
2013 vs. 2014 Whats the difference?
Slow motion
Pause in same location ?

Etc.

It's always good to know whether the solutions that we've taken the time to suggest have solved the problem. And it helps others too who might end up in the same thread with similar queries.

I'd also suggest that you use the Search tool on the right and the PDF manual, which  answer most of your very basic questions.

Hi Terry,

Please accept my appology for not providing proper feedback.

I am still unfamiliar with the software and this question forum.  Not sure to put my remarks under "New Answer" or "add to question"  as both seem not intended for feedback.  So I have been clicking the "Thank You" button on each and every reply, assuming that was the proper thing to do. Again please accept my appology for not providing feedback.  And I really do appreciate you and the others who have taken their valuable time to respond to my questions. Thank you, thank you thank you....  Have a great day!

Using Answer is the best approach IMO, which keeps the thread logically structured.  I've never understood the point of that Add to question option. In the relatively rare event that an OP wants to add something before receiving any replies then I suppose it might make sense, but even then a simple 'just to clarify...' or 'meant to add...' in a new post would be more natural. Even the label Answer is a poor choice; Post would cover the many, er, posts that are neither questions nor answers! It all presumably stems from the MAGIX concept of a Q&A section, in which a neat question gets a neat answer. (By users, not by MAGIX.)

So I have been clicking the "Thank You" button on each and every reply, assuming that was the proper thing to do.

Don't stop - that's more than many do.

Hi

Not sure that clicking S on 2 tracks is a good idea. S means solo so it is meant to isolate 1 track only. May be better to (M) mute tracks you do not want.
