Setting Light Color in Effects

There are several effects that have "Light Color" parameters - in particular, I have used Lens Flare on a couple objects. But I haven't figured out how to change the Light Color in any of these effects. When I try changing them, they revert back to 1.00. Is there a secret to this? What is expected? Thank in advance.

Yes - when you type a value in any of the boxes you must press the Enter key to to confirm the change, this also applies to any effect that has parameters where you can type in the values.

The numbers range from 0.00 to 1.00 as shown below
