I recently installed Audio Studio 365 and I am getting short bursts of static randomly and when I use some Control characters in other applications. How do I prevent this? I have a Dell XPS with an i7 core and am currently running Windows 10.
This is happening with Sound Forge closed. It's a 3-4 second flat static sound, and sometimes occurs randomly and other time if I use Control characters - particularly Control-D in other applications, like Power Point and Outlook.
This could be caused by the Magix Low Latency ASIO driver (a rebranded, older version of ASIO4ALL).
If you want to uninstall Magix Low Latency you can click on the Windows start button in the bottom left corner and type regedit. Then click on the Regedit app.
Then navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > ASIO > Magix Low Latency 2016:
Now, simply right click the Magix Low Latency 2016 folder, and delete it.
Then restart your computer. Please select the Restart option and not the Shut down option.
I hope this helps. If you have trouble deleting the folder, try starting Regedit as administrator via the right click option.
