Software is glitching.

I have SOUND FORGE Pro Version 11 (Build 299). Recently I am encountering glitches which make it difficult to impossible to edit my music. Fade-outs don't work. Sound stops entirely (even though I can see the graphic displayed on my monitor still). There are several other problems which I cannot quite describe. Is there anything I can do?

@Robert-Paul Is there an option under the file menu to reset the program settings? Alternatively, keep holding CTRL and SHIFT and start Sound Forge, this should bring up a window where you can reset the program settings.
