Sony Vegas 9.0 registration failed, 'license expired?'

When I run Vegas 8.0 it runs perfectly, when I run Vegas 9.0HD, it says the license expired in 2015, yet the download website shows it was registered in 06/01/2017!!
I have reinstaslled this several times without it allowed to run, same message. How do I reset this?
