"Soundtrack Styles" Missing...

Richard-Curtis wrote on 8/25/2019, 4:36 PM

On attempting to kick MEP 2020's Soundtrack Maker into life I obtained the well-worn message about the need to install the "soundtrack styles" module.  I didn't install this module when I purchased my original version last year, and having upgraded to the latest version I see no option for downloading free software in the "Help" menu, Soundtrack Styles or otherwise.  There is nothing in my Soundtrack Styles folder.  Any ideas about what I can do next?  If I have to go back to my original version to sort this issue, I'll do it, but I'd rather carry on with the new version if I can...

@Richard-Curtis

In order to download any part of the additional content that you did not previously download go to Help>Install extra content. You are then likely to see this screen:

Click the highlighted button. You may then see the Windows UAC screen, clearly click Yes!

You should then see this:

Since you have not downloaded the Soundtrack Maker styles, its box should be unticked (my screenshot shows I have downloaded and installed everything). Tick it and click Continue. The styles should then download and be installed.

Hi

. . . . I see no option for downloading free software in the "Help" menu . . . .

The click the link Install extra content and then in the dialog that opens click the Download extra content... button and follow the dialogs through.

Thank you again, gentlemen - and thank you also for the speedy responses that I had been eagerly awaiting.  Although I had already tried the "Install extra content" window, I had incorrectly assumed the "Download extra content" button only applied to the MPEG-4 codec waiting for download in the window.  Following Jeff's example, I've now downloaded and installed the lot.
