I used the soundtrack wizard for a few tracks in a movie that is now with the distributor. They want to know if there is a disclaimer stating that the music is open source or if someone needs to be credited.
The following is a quote from the End User Licence for MEP:
In principle, the Contents - with the exception of Live Sets - may only be used for non-commercial purposes. This also applies to music, video or photo data as well as the corresponding templates acquired through or by means of MAGIX Products
I think the key phrase for you is the one I have bolded. Mention of a distributor (for your movie) suggests, I think, some kind of "commercial" or distribution agreement between you and the distributor; if so, this is clearly not allowed under the terms of your licence with Magix.
The music is clearly notopen source but is "copyrighted" so I think you need to ask Magix Support directly - use the Support button in the header of any forum page to ask Customer Service to give you a definitive answer to your question; you will need to give precise details of your Distribution agreement.

EDIT, to add: Please read the whole of this thread where this question is discussed in some detail.
Terms and conditions 5.2 Contents Consumer. Page here.
You can obtain licencing from Magix for commercial use as far as I know. You will have to get in contact with Magix for that. There used to be a way via the store content I think but I'm not sure.
VP-X has more allowance for commercial use than MEP but I would still talk to Magix about commercial use. Not just the music but any effects used.
. . . . soundtrack wizard for a few tracks in a movie that is now with the distributor. They want to know if there is a disclaimer stating that the music is open source or if someone needs to be credited . . . . .
The sound loops used by the Soundtrack Maker in Movie Edit Pro are licenced for non-commercial use only,
Quote (with my highlighting):
'In principle, the Contents - with the exception of Live Sets - may only be used for non-commercial purposes. This also applies to music, video or photo data as well as the corresponding templates acquired through or by means of MAGIX Products'
. . . . You can obtain licencing from Magix for commercial use . . . .
Not for the Soundtrack Maker - I have searched Producer Planet for the Soundratck Maker styles and, none of the searches reulted in a commercial licence available, to use with Movie Edit Pro - more information is in section 5.2 of the End User Licence Agreement available in the Licence terms and Conditions link in the Help, About dialog.
The audio track will have to be changed to music which allows for commercial use - you will have to source this from elsewhere.
. . . . VP-X has more allowance for commercial use . . . .
While true there are restrictions - the significant line in the EULA section 5.2 is 'if they are used to create your own work results'.
This requires clarification as the definition 'create your own works could be interpreted as:
if you use them through Soundtrack Maker they are not a creation of your own work it is the software doing what it does
if you manually uses the soundloops and edit them up into a music track then you are creating your own work results.
you can use them commercially either way above so long as the video element is your own creation.
