I am trying to speed up a video clip, but the audio seems to get odd sounding?
Is there an easy way to do this, without separating the video and audio tracks?
Also, what is the process of separating the audio and video, and then making them match up again?

Hi.
If you want to speed up a clip and keep the pitch the same, select the Timestretching option in the Algorithm box.
If you want the pitch to change with the speed select Resample. The audio will stay in sync with both options.

You can then go further once that is done and right click on the audio track and select the Timestretch / resample bar and that will bring up a more comprehensive editing facility.
There is no real need to separate tracks.
I use this feature mainly when audio is recorded separately from the video in camera in slow motion.
I speed up the video to normal speed and then add the audio track and link the two. Then I put the track back to normal playing speed and if needed fine tune the audio here as I can either keep the pitch the same or lower it to what people expect to hear when a clip is slowed down.
