Hi

This effect occurs when you display a picture, captured at a high resolution, in a lower resolution medium. "Jaggies" as they are called are caused by the throwing a way of line pixels, so that a diagonal image line across the horizontal scan lines takes on a stair step effect.

Exporting with the "Antiflicker filter", which is actually an anti aliasing filter, turned on should help, as can resizing the picture to the project's resolution in a photo editor prior to importing.

Hi Ray, yep i've done that, i think that's what i did in the mask i mentioned,

This image was on a 1920x1080 transparent back ground PNG, but the image was smaller, you can see the writing is almost clear in the PNG but Magix spoils it further with the rotation,

I tried again with only the orig 1205x1023 screen capture without a transparent background

It's better but i think the orig screen capture didn't capture the best quality,

Hi Gid.

Downloading your example it seems the edges have not been cropped too accurately on three sides. Whatever I chose to do, either one side suffers or the other three do.

Where did you get that image, from one of the videos? it has a clear background but is in reverse?

but your pic has a pic in the background, mine has a white background,

have you white chroma keyed the background?

Hi Gid.

No, I used the colour picker and then selected white for what you see there but other options also caused problems.Either with those three edges or the top edge on its own depending on how I tried to use the chroma key.

the orig turning image had a green background which i green keyed out & put the white background on to see the black edges better to post on here, you can see that in the very first screen shot i put up, the white background on track 1 the the green turning vid on track 3, when i fiddled with the chroma key i got rid of all the green but the Jaggies were still there, the orig pic i used has no white around it, I think the white boarder in the screenshot you posted is something to do with /magix, it must be residue from the background you colour picked out, i've noticed when Magix rotates things the quality does deteriorate a bit, that's why i exported the orig with green background @ 59fps 🤷‍♂️👍

I tried to do similar to what I think I'm seeing in your video but not using any green screening. I just shrank the image I wanted to rotate using Size / Position.

👍 What size was the orig image ? but yes i think it was the size of the image i was using, the orig screenshot wasn't huge then i reduced it n put it on a transparent PNG background,

The raggie edges reminded me of the old TV's where you could see the lines on the screen,

I green screened it so i could export it, if Magix exported with a transparent background i would need the green screen,

Hi Gid.

I just took a screenshot from the desktop and edited in paint to crop to the edges of the info box and saved as a jpeg. Imported that directly into MEP and shrank it lightly then rotated it as needed. No green screen needed as it's smaller than the background image.
