@andy-o

Welcome to the Magix forums.

I can't directly answer your question since I've never tried to create a 360 video, but, assuming your Update Service is still current, your version of MEP needs updating to the current, 19.0.2.58.

Thanks Jeff will do.
however, on this page;

https://www.magix.com/us/video-editor/make-a-video/360-degree/

It says you can use up to 6 GoPro type cameras and use movie edit pro to stitch them together.
I don’t however think the software does this type of stitching. I don’t think it can stitch from multiple cameras.
if anyone knows different please let me know

thanks.

Hi Andy.

Actually I don't think it say's that at all. Read it carefully. It's giving examples of what is possible to do depending on equipment. Only the paragraph above the one you mention refers to using MEP on a different type of editing.

You should read the pdf manual pages 225 to 231 for a more detailed explanation of what is possible and the exceptions. I think you need may additional software for the additional stitching this would need as some functions only appear to be supported on a few cameras.

Hi

In theory the method to create a 360 view with 6 cameras is

  1. The 6 videos are imported so that each is on a different track, eg 1 -6, and aligned with each other.
  2. Using 360 degree editing position each cameras video so that it is one side of a cube, ie front, right, back, left, top and bottom.
  3. Stitch the images together.

This is actually difficult to achieve, the positioning was relatively easy, however I could not achieve good stitching.

In practice a true 360 camera is required as used in the demonstration on the page you liked to.
