Subtitles not aligned correctly with the option "Apply title settings to all"

Problem description:

I have modified the font and font size and selected left alignment of the first subtitle on the subtitle track.

I then select "Apply title settings to all" or "Apply title settings to all following".

The settings are set correctly, except for the alignment. I have to manually select left alignment for all the subsequent subtitles on the track. Only then are they properly aligned to the left of the screen.

This does sound like a bug. Is there a way to report bugs to Magix?

What version of Movie Edit Pro are you using?

I just threw a few photos into Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus in StoryBoard Mode. I used the Text tool to add in text, size and position the text; change the text color then used the "checkmark" to accept the text. I then went to the next image and clicked on the text icon. The text entry area was automatically in position where the previous text box was from the first photo. I entered the new text, pressed the "checkmark" then went to the next image; again the text box was in the same position as the previous.

I didn’t need to apply any settings...

Now, I played around with this for a while and I noticed that if I didn’t click the “checkmark”, and I just positioned the text where I wanted it then went to the next photo and pressed for text, it was back in the center (which was the text template I had chosen at the beginning). Seems the key is checking that “checkmark”.

Hi John,

I'm using the Magix Movie Edit Pro 16 (Download Version).

I've been working in the Timeline, not Storyboard, mode myself. I forgot to mention that.

I guess I've been using the Timeline mode because one cannot set transitions to *subtitles* in the Storyboard mode. At least, I haven't found a way to do that there.

Now I tried with the Storyboard mode, follwing your instructions, and the alignment worked. I think what I could do is first add the subtitles in the Storyboard mode and then switch to the Timeline mode and add the subtitle transitions there (which evidently requires the little gimmick that I noted in my earlier post).
