Using Movie Edit Pro 2016 Plus (Steam version, I believe, but I had been given a key for a more recent version a few years prior) on Windows 10.

Was running perfectly fine a few days ago. Took a small break from editing, then opened it back up and now the playback is only running at around 0.5 FPS and anything I export comes out that way, too. The program is unusable when it does this.

I've had this bug before, years ago and had to fix it then. This seemingly happens by random. I had not touched any files, reinstalled the program, or updated Windows I believe in the short time-spam between when the program was working smoothly to now, so, it couldn't have been anything on my end to break it.

Any ideas on how to fix this whenever it props up?

I made a huge mistake here. I thought I had my non-Steam version installed since I have the 2018 Program. Just installed the slightly newer one from the website, though I remember this bug extending to that as well. It seems to be quite random in nature, so I'd still love to know a fix!
