This is just a quick thank you. Without this forum my work during the last weeks would have been frustrating but thanks to your support I was able to realize this project with much joy:
No wonder the screenshot of your workflow looked like a game of Tetris 😆
Any insight into how this was organized? It looks like they were playing to the same backing track and independently sent in their videos for you to edit. Sync wise that must have been a nightmare. Good sound mix. Well done. It's no wonder you only have two videos in two years. 😁.
Again thanks for sharing, it's been added to my YouTube favourites.
[Edit] I just realized, you are the one I accused of being Daniel Radcliffe! 😇
I'm glad you like it! Yes indeed, the sync was a nightmare... :-D I made the arrangement using Dorico which is a fantastic notation software I got to know a few months ago. Much better than Sibelius. Then I created a playback version with a count-in for every single one where you would hear all voices except yours...
And then well, people don't play as exact as they should so I had to move around single notes all day long and sometimes even correct pitch...
I mean, I can't complain. ;-) Radcliffe's rather attractive. :-D
I remember when Sibelius first came out. It was quite expensive and I think a stand-alone program.
Dorico is much better to work with inside a DAW. Not that I have use for it, but can see reasons for its preference for those talented enough to benefit from it.
I often notice miss timed or 'unwanted' notes during live performances. I think most people don't notice during concerts but can understand the complications of having to do a remix after the event.
Again. Thank you for sharing some insight into the process.
If you would like to continue discussion of other programs such as Cubase, Sibelius, Dorico etc and the topic does not have a direct relevance to Magix software with respect to issues with the program, help in achieving something (how to's) in the program, etc would you please continue the conversation in the Off Topic section of the forum.
