The modulation wheel moves up by itself,causing bad vibrato sound .

I am using MMM Prem.2013 with a new laptop and Alesis QS6 midi keyboard.  The modulation wheel moves up by itself and causes an awful sounding tremolo/vibrato,  I go to the Vita and use my mouse to push it down and it pops right back up.  The only sound I can use is the piano. 

 What can I do to keep the wheel in place?

When you say Modulation Wheel - do you mean the one on the Alesis or the Vita instrument selected ?

The Alesis Mod wheel should be controlling the Vita instrument Mod Wheel - I suspect you have the Mod wheel on the Alesis set to auto modulate.  Check in the Alesis manual for this.
