I have updated to MEP Premium 2022 Build 21.0.1.85

As a test, I loaded imported 2 MP4 movie files into track 1 in MEP Premium 2022

Video 1 was a 720 x 448 at 25 FPS MP4
Video 2 was 1440 x 900 at 24 FPS MP4

I then moved the second video so that it overlapped the first. I then used the “Movie In” transition from the category “3D tiles Basic”.

The preview, when played back in MEP Premium 2022, was flawless and smooth.

My PC is configured as per my signature.

In Program Settings (press Y), under the the “Device Options” tab, the “input”, “processing” and “Export” are set to my GTX960 Nvidia card. I have disabled my Intel 4600 graphics in my BIOS so that only the NVidia is used.

There are many reasons you could be experiencing “lagging and bugging”.

You will have to give us more details of your system specifications, the video files you're importing and your workflow.

Note: this first thing you might want to try is to update your hardware drivers - especially your graphics drivers (directly from manufacturer's websites rather than using Windows updates)

Thank you for the quick answer!

Ok.. so i check the program settings and at import - export and processing i have my video card AMD RADEOM RX 5700 XT selected.

My test videos are:
2704 x 1520 at 60 FPS MP4
2704 x 1520 at 60 FPS MP4

Any type of transition i m using its lagging that part of the video.. even just overlapped still not ok
I m recording with a GO PRO then i use BANDICUT for rendering and cutting them smaller...
Its because of the BANDICUT being a free license?
I just updated graphics card from AMD RADEON site.

Feels wrong after the program update....

Please tell me what should i check more, if there are any settings i have to make, i will do :)
Its there a posibility to uninstall the last update version and go along with the old one?
I feel like something its wrong but i dont know what exactly..

The quality of the videos its too hight? or idk

Are those test video a Constant bit rate or Variable. If variable, are you able to use a third party converter to make them Constant?

Here is one thing I like to do.

Settle on a resolution and frame rate you would like to deliver the final video when you do the export from MEP. This can be set in Movie Settings (Press E). Then, using a third party video converter, convert your imported videos to that same resolution and frame rate.

That way, MEP does not have to internally rescale (and possible change frame rate) the imported videos on the fly. For example, if your movie settings are 1920 x 1080 at 60 FPS, then convert the GoPro movies to those parameters before importing them into MEP. Or Maybe set your Movie Settings to 2704 x 1520 at 60 FPS.

I use VideoProc 4.2 for my conversions. If you are doing a lot of video editing then a good commercial video converter is definitely recommended.

Just to confirm, we are talking about MEP Pro 2022 aren't we?

Hello again!
Thank you so much!
I got VideoProc free version... i manage to rescale them at 1920X1080.
I tested and its working fine, no more lagging/freezing.... i think they where too high with 2.7k

And i see if you import a video the MEP its telling you that he will adjust the format, if its not the same as in movie settings.

With 2704 x 1520 its impossible :(

But i m good now, i can work with my stuff, i panic thinking i lost all my recording :D but its ok now, thank you :)

When you create a new project, you have the option of using proxy files: these are low-resolution copies created by MEP so you won't have any (as much) lag and choppiness. This will obviate the need for 3rd-party conversion. When you export, MEP will use the original, high-res files.

File>Settings>Movie

And i see if you import a video the MEP its telling you that he will adjust the format, if its not the same as in movie settings.

With 2704 x 1520 its impossible :(

You can easily set your movie to match your videos.

After you've created a new project, go to the above screen and type in your video resolution eg 2704, then 1520 in the width and height boxes. For the ratio, if it's not a normal ratio or you don't know it, just type in the actual numbers eg "2704:1520" (without the quotes). Then type in the framerate and your movie will be set to match your videos.
