Movie Edit Pro 2014 plus
This refuses to accept the activation code sent to me which I still have in the original packaging and I have put in my email address and password at the very least 10 times so far without any success and still I have no idea why it won't accept my code !

Assuming you are entering the email address you bought/registered the software with, what error message are you getting?

I don't think Movie Edit Pro 14 is Windows 10 compatible. It was designed for Windows XP and Vista at a pinch as far as I can research. There is no-one from Magix on the forums, just users. This version was released in 2008.
What operating system are you trying to use it on? If XP you should be OK but the drivers in that version will probably not be able to deal with the new hardware that Win 10 demands.
Yes, apologies, I was just about to explode with the problems Magix was giving me.
The only message I was getting was that the activation code which I was reading right off the original package it came in, was wrong.
and it does seem perfectly compatible with W10 except that I can't render a movie without having given the activation code.

MEP 2014 must be registered and activated if you are getting that far, I suspect what you are seeing is a dialog asking for a codec to be activated, what format are you trying export to?
Hi Ray - @xyz123 is using MEP 2014 which does work with Windows 10.

The version is 13.0.0.28 and I tried both MPEG and MP4 and kept getting a dialog asking me to enter the activation code.
On reflection, I think I'll go back to collecting cigarette cards :-)
Have just noticed that the activation code is in that dropdown anyway and decided to try again. When trying to export as a plain MPEG it again asks for the code but this time will happily export it as an MP4 Dohhhhh
No, it's quite happy to export as an MP4, it's the MPEG 2 it wants the activation code for.

Try running the installer again and when it ask you select the Repair option.
