Thought Bubbles from Design Elements not Generating

Movie Edit Pro (MEP) 2013 on Windows 7... Under effects, design elements, image objects text, I see three thought bubble and three caption options available. But when I select them, nothing happens. They do not get created for some reason. I have used these elements before with no problem. I have emptied cashe, restarted my computer, and closed and restarted MEP a number of times and nothing is working. What else can I try?

Same here! :-( ...until I remembered that you have to have an image or video clip object selected first. (Not the first time I've forgotten!) If you want to have the bubble against a blank field you will need to first load a plain color jpg etc.

Hope this solves your problem; if not, I've no idea.

Thanks, Carl. But that wasn't the issue. If I didn't have the video selected, the options didn't even show up and there was a message there stating I had to select something first. So when I selected the video, I was given the six choices. But when I clicked on them, nothing happened. Many of the other kinds of effects worked fine. Just not the thought bubbles or captions.
