Try pressing "F9"

RobertR-Hirsch wrote on 3/22/2021, 12:29 PM

Thanks Markus, but I got absolutely no response when I pressed "F9".

Markus, I shouldn't have said I "lost it"....it just never appeared after downloading the movie strip. No other strips are appearing.

@RobertR-Hirsch

I've suddenly lost the "Timeline" editing strip after downloading

.it just never appeared after downloading the movie strip

I'm confused by these statements. Re the first one: after downloading what? Re the second one: what is the movie strip that you downloaded?

Hi

. . . . I've suddenly lost the "Timeline" editing strip after downloading. . . .

Unfortunately incorrect terminology is causing confusion way here.

Do you mean you have lost the complete Project pane containing the timeline and tracks as shown below

or you can see the video in the Preview monitor however it is not visible on the timeline as shown below

. . . . downloading . . . .

Do you mean after recording a VHS tape with Movie Edit Pro, or importing a previously recorded video clip?

johnebaker...Again I am not being clear about this!! I do have the Storyboard, but not the Mode display, allowing me to access the Scene Overview, or most importantly, the Timeline Edit Screen. I hope that this clarifies my problem. Thanks!

@RobertR-Hirsch

Just to be clear, do you see the icons that @wabu highlighted in his post? They should be towards the right hand side of your screen, directly above where the Timeline would be.
