Timeline editting

I am working with MEP17

I have been working with Magix software since MEP14.

When I am editing a scene for camera zooms and pans I like to start the scen to play at a point (we will call it piont #1) then hit the spacebar to pause it at the next point where I will be adjusting the camera zoom/pan. When I hit the space bar to stop the playback the marker returns to point #1 instead of remaining at the stop point where the edit is to take place. Is there a keyboard command that will stop and hold the position while editing?

Hey Securityman,

Start and stop the playing by using Up- and Down-arrows, to stop at actual place. Also experiment with the letters J, K, and L to play backwards or forwards. Increase speed by clicking 2 og more times.

Securityman,

You want this setting ticked under the 'Playback' tab of File' >> 'Settings' >> 'Program...', [Y] key shortcut:

This is from MEP 2014 but MEP 17 has something similar. The up arrow method suggested by asoeli is handy for repeat viewing of a section as it always returns the cursor to the original position irrespective of the setting for the spacebar shown above.

Carl

Thanks to both of you. I am now going to enjoy the hours of editing that I have left.:)
