Title Templates - Change Color of Elements [Not Text]

Bruce-dv wrote on 4/27/2019, 10:17 PM

Hi,

I am very new to the software and just trying to find my way around.

I purchased some Title Templates from the store and was wondering if there is any way to change the color of the elements? I know we can change all the text attributes, but would like to change all the colors.

Is this possible?

Thanks

Reading your question I just wonder whether it is similar to my own plea for help on this Forum yesterday.

Checkout my question and the very helpful answers to 'Final Rolling Credit Advice'. It certainly helped me both increasing the length of my final credits and also changing text colour.

@Bruce-dv

Hi

. . . . . Title Templates from the store and was wondering if there is any way to change the color of the elements? I know we can change all the text attributes, but would like to change all the colors. . . . .

This depends entirely on the template(s) you want to change, without knowing the advice given may not be correct .

A generic answer is:

Many of the title templates consist of multiple parts eg the title, a background image or video, and a mask, there may be fewer or more parts, as shown in the example below

When on the timeline, they appear as a group of object parts as shown above. The none text parts can be ungrouped and replaced as required, in your case, if you cannot adjust the colour of a part using the Colour and Colour correction effects, then you may have to re-create the part in a different colour in an image editing program and /or in MEP if it is a video.

Note if you have to replace a coloured part and it is animated, you will have to copy the animation effects from the original to the replacement.
