That is bizarre! Are any of the SF menus affected aside from the channel name. If so, it is likely metadata text from where the file originated. It is normal for SF to display metadata text if it exists. Many lossy file types like MP3s and support metadata. PCM Wave files support metadata as well.

I am not intimately familiar with AS (Audio Studio), but in SF Pro, you can see and edit the metadata text in the 'View' menu. AS may be similar.
