F9 is the first thing I tried. It doesn't work. Do I need to press something simultaneously like shift?

Something else weird started happening, so I shut down the computer and restarted. When I opened the video software again, the transport console was back in place. Thanks anyway and I'm tucking away F9 in my mind for any similar problem that comes along.
