Travel route animation

I see in 2012 the loading of Travel Route Animation in Magix was a problem. Still, here in 2018 with Magix, Movie Edit Pro Plus 2017, the problem persists. Three different script errors come up. The first error is "http://www.openstreetmap.org/openlayers/OpenStreetMap.js" But why in the world should this program have to connect to the internet? I removed Magix from my computer and reloaded. The Travel Route Animation worked, but only one time. After doing one major update, the Mapping worked once then failed to open after that. I have done all the updates and anything else I can find to "fix" . This has become very time consuming and frustrating. I am ready to get my money back and go with another product.

Hi

. . . . But why in the world should this program have to connect to the internet? . . . .

It uses live maps like many other TRA software and works fine at the time of posting.

Reinstalling the software is a last resort option - the error message indicates there is an issue with the Internet connection.

If you are on WIndows 10, and up to date with it, then it is possible that Win 10 has turned off some Internet protocols to check these open Internet Explorer and in the settings check the following protocols are enabled

Also try restarting the computer Windows button, Power button, Restart.

Thanks John for your assistance. I checked the Protocols and only USE SSL 3.0 was not checked. After restarting the computer the same problem persists. I tried using Edge, Chrome and a VNP and still no improvement. All the windows updates are current and the Magix update is current. To repeat, the only time "Travel route animation" worked was immediately after reinstalling Magix or immediately after doing the Magix update. After shutting down the program, it would not work properly again. I have spent countless hours trying to correct this problem. I think now I am ready to deal with Magix to get my money back and go with another video editing program. Thanks for your help.

What is the error that you are getting?

The .js file is accessible and should be downloaded without issue. If that's the case, then could only be the running of the script being the issue. In this case, it should be MagiX developer who will have to see why Travel Route tool is not working with the generic script given. You should log a case with MagiX support.

I use MEP classic without bells and whistle so does not include the Travel route tool. I just use a freeware travel route for my purpose. It still go out to Google Maps for the actual map, and you do have to draw out the route unlike your advanced tool.

Thanks for all your help. I have sent help requests to Magix but yet, no answer.
