@ehawk50

First, you will see I have hidden your most recent post to this thread since it was merely a repeat of the original. There is no need whatsoever to duplicate posts!

"User Defined Templates" are exactly that, defined, i.e. created, by the user, you!

A considerable number of additional templates will be available to download once you have purchased the program, along with a number of other "Additional Content" items.

As to your question about 1920 x 1080 @ 50fps, please read the whole of this thread.

Hi

As to your question about 1920 x 1080 @ 50fps, please read the whole of this thread.

That linked thread is actually about the lack of a 25p template Jeff.

@ehawk50 There will be a template for 1920x1080 50p under "AVCHD 1920x1080 50p HQ Transport Stream'' (ie. .mts) in the complete program.

HiAll I would like to export to burn 1920x1080 @50p mpeg 4 as .my camera records at this profile also.Regarding "AVCHD 1920x1080@50p FOR SD CARD" what does FOR SD CARD mean?

@ehawk50

Hi

. . . . I would like to export to burn 1920x1080 @50p mpeg 4 . . . .

Assuming you are still running the trial version then the option may not be available to you and the export is limited to 2 mins of video.

The full version does have the option click the Display all option on the export dialog - see image below

. . . . AVCHD 1920x1080@50p FOR SD CARD . . . .

AFAICS, there is no preset option for this export - see image above - ignore the 1080p web, 720p web and DVDA options these are custom settings I created.

. . . . for sale at Magix for $69:00 . . . .

I assume this is the Basic version - see the comparison chart before buying - I would advise getting the Plus version as a minimum.

HI all, Sorry jb but downloading Magix Edit plus pro plus there are no presets for exporting to disk as 1920x1080 50p..Have just downloaded this program and it now seems that it does not have them. Any help as to exchanging problem for" Magix Edit pro" as as above it has 1920 x1080 50p. Any help would be appreciated.

@ehawk50

Please re-read @johnebaker's post above. For the sake of clarity I show below the settings from my installation of MEP Premium. (I note you say MEP Plus, but I don't think that should make any difference). Particularly note the boxes I have outlined, especially the one that says "Display all".

The presets when burning to Blue Ray does not come up as 1920x1080 50p. What settings do I use when there are no settings there, only 1920x1080ipal (default) What setting should I use as in the Blue Ray video export preset. Only have Blue Ray 1920x1080ipal@25fps Not 50 frames per second.

Thanks

Eric

@ehawk50

Have you downloaded and installed all the extras that come with MEP Plus?

If not do so - Help, Install extra content.

There is a some confusion here - are you wanting to burn a Blu-Ray disc from within MEP or export as a file for use elsewhere?

If burning as Blu-Ray disc then 50p is not available - in theory BD players should be able to play progressive encoded video - however the BD standard does not require this to be supported - interlaced discs will play on any BD player so long as the disc is compatible and readable.

If exporting as 'Blu-Ray' format file, ie AVCHD transport stream (.m2ts), for playing on a computer or uploading to for example Youtube, then 50p is available. However if you intend to create a Blu-Ray disc from this in another program, then it is most likely to be converted to interlaced 25fps to meet the BD standard.

OK the problem seems to be coming tigether for me for me. .Yes I wish to burn 1920x1080 50p to Blu-Ray disk so could me what settings for doing this. This will ease the tension betwen all of us and solve my problem. Cheers,Eric..........

Scenestealer wrote on 7/10/2019, 2:03 AM

@ehawk50

Simple answer then - you can not burn a disc @ 1920x1080 50P.

You can only burn @ 1280x720 50P or 1920x1080i 25fps as this is all the Blu-Ray standard allows, as already mentioned by @johnebaker

Your only option for storing and playback of 1080 50P is to save it to a USB Drive or SD card and display it on your TV if your TV supports 50P playback, or via a media player connected to your TV. Of course your PC should be able to play it too via WMP.

I play all my 50P material on my smart TV from my PC via DLNA and my network.
