Trouble uploading video to Youtube and Instagram

Kevis-Mitchell wrote on 2/19/2021, 11:40 AM

I created a video using Movie Edit Pro and when it was complete I couldn't upload the file to Youtube. The system stated that the video format was incorrect. How do I change the video from a MVP file to a MP4 file that's accepted by other outside software?

@Kevis-Mitchell
Hello, Welcome

MVP is a storage file which saves project information only.

To do this, click "file" "export movie"  then choose the format you want to convert and export to be acceptable by YouTube. For example Mpeg4, Avi, MP4 etc

@Kevis-Mitchell

Just to add a little to what @PATIENT-X has written, this page will show you what YouTube recommends for export settings of files to be uploaded to its server. I suspect Instagram will have something similar.

If you're still stuck, post back with more details of your source video files.

@Kevis-Mitchell @emmrecs

Because we are so helpful.

As of 2021

The best Instagram video format is MP4. Your video file should include these technical specifications:

H.264 codec

AAC audio

3500 kbps bitrate

Frame rate of 30 fps (frames per second)

Video can be a maximum of 60 seconds

Maximum video width is 1080 pixels wide X 920 pixels tall
