@cresswell

Exactly which version of MMM Premium do you have?

Please explain what you mean by your older serial number but don't post it here.

What error message do you see (please give the full, exact wording or a screen shot of it)?

How many times previously have you installed this software?

Sorry for all the questions but we really do need a lot more information from you if we are not to spend a lot of time simply trying to guess what a solution might be.

hi jeff,thanks for getting back to me to answer you first question,i am trying to install MMM-2019 premium edition,next when i bring up the actvate page there is 2 sections ,1 section says,activating a new music maker adition,the other section says activation of older programs,natually i filled in the the second part as this i a 2019 edition,next when i clik on the activate button that is when i get the the error box up it reads ,an error has occourred during the purchase process,i would say at a guess i have probably installed this sotfware twice, three times at the most,no more than that,i hope these answers are what you are after and that it will help you solve my problem thanks again KEV

@cresswell

Hi KEV,

Thanks for the additional information (every little detail helps!)

Do you have the installer for MMM 2019 Premium, or are you trying to use the installer for the latest, 2025 version? If the latter, that will not work, sorry; you need to install the version for which you have the serial key. "Older" versions can be activated by serial key if the user has bought a "newer" version, with its own serial key. Without this, I think the error message about the failure of the purchase process is likely to be seen.

If you have previously installed the software two or three times, your attempt to reinstall will fail because there is a limit of two current "activations" allowed in your account. If you have not deactivated any previous registrations/installations, that will prevent you reinstalling now.

So, log into your Magix account, go to My products, find the listing for MMM 2019 and, if you need to, download the installer for that edition. Whilst there also click on "Show more details"; this will open a page which lists ALL the current registered activations of your software. Deactivate any and all you no longer need.

Log out (or simply close the Magix website) wait a few minutes for the changes to propagate through the Magix servers. Then, if needed, reinstall the software and register/activate it.

Then you will be able to download and install ALL the additional content to which your licence entitles you.

HTH
